Rob's Story

Rob Howe is a Type-1 Diabetic living in Dallas Texas. Diagnosed on January 1st, 2005 at the age of 16 at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. His doctors assured him that as long as he took care of his health, he could achieve all the goals he had for his life.

Rob went on to become his high school valedictorian, get a basketball scholarship to the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and become the first T1D member of the Washington Generals (the team who plays the Harlem Globetrotters).

In 2015, Rob founded Diabetics Doing Things in order to tell the amazing stories of Type-1 Diabetics from around the world. You can follow him on Instagram here and check out the Diabetics Doing Things podcast on iTunes.
